Leeds & Hunslet Schools Cup

Throughout the school year Leeds High Schools have an opportunity to play rugby league in a city competition called the Leeds & Hunslet Schools Cup. This competition has been in schools for decades and the likes of John Holmes, Neil Haigh, Ellery Handley, Gary Schofield, Jason Robinson, Chev Walker, Danny McGuire, Ryan Bailey, Lee Smith, Carl Ablett and Paul McShane have all represented their schools in this historical competition.

Schools now play in mini leagues and progress into the knock out stages which creates a final for these competitions. Each year group from Year 7 to Year 11 have the opportunity to enter these competitions with the finals been held at Headingley Carnegie Stadium and the John Charles Centre for Sport.
